Flaviar tasting box 04/2022 “B” - [ ] Color is a light-medium amber - [ ] Nose is herbal and cinnamon with hay, corn and more subtle caramel/vanillas. Some butterscotch and pepper - [ ] Taste is heavily tannined-wood vanillans with caramel and some interesting pepper and bread notes - [ ] Finish is kind of an ethanolic sting on the tongue - [ ] Rating 3.25

Very sweet and spicy with a maple finish. Very enjoyable.

Nose: caramel, vanilla, maple, cinnamon, waffle, banana Palette: maple, vanilla, banana, caramel. Very consistent with nose Finish: soft, short, sweet. What you would expect from a 94 proof

Notes of maple and vanilla on the nose with more vanilla and a sweet spice flavor. Light and smooth sweet finish.

Vanilla and oak with a touch of burnt sugar sweetness on the nose.   Taste is Honey and butterscotch on the front, followed by toasted coconut on the backend.    Finish is long and warm, with the coconut flavor lingering. Mouthfeel is silky. Little bit of a Kentucky hug but hardly any burn

Buttery flavor and mouth feel, with cinnamon at the finish.

Had this bottle for ages...why not open it and rate it (though I have had the whiskey in the past). Pleasant nose offers a general brown sugary sweetness, a bit of oak, some fruity esters, and a healthy dose of rye-like spice (ok this is a high rye - didn't realize that at first, but I believe it). Light and fruit forward on the palate with a general sweetness, and a very mild barrel presence. Not the most complex pour, but it is, to be fair, quite enjoyable, and easy drinking. Sticker says $29.99, and I'd happily pick up a bottle of this anytime at this price. Better than anticipated!
