Chocolate and orange definitely can taste the port but I love port so this works perfectly for me and it’s blended in masterfully from the port barrels very slight peat smooth! tasted at the distillery can really tell the difference of the giraffee stills adding to the smoothness and the barrelling for the right amoutn of time to add just the right amount of port flavour. One of my go to $70-80 whiskey's
nose is salty leather, cherry, bourbon
neat flavor is warm burn, sweet, fruity with peat that spreads over the mouth like a blanket
flavor with water is vanilla, toffee. adding second tsp of water brought out sulfur odor, less fruity, more bitter ash. I'd drink more but neat or little water
