Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Year

Chocolate and cherry jam. Slight citrus. Orange zest. Syrup mouthfeel. No smoke.

So... I love port wine and port wine finished whiskies... Not this one! :( Tasted at a Glenmorangie vertical tasting and for my surprise ranked n°6. The alcohol was too strong both on the nose and the palate. Not sign of the red/dark berries notes I was expecting on the nose... Got a lot better with some drops of water but still, quite not there!

My first port finished whisky and I'm not dissapointed at all! Very fruity like a sherry, much darker and riper fruits though. It's also sweet but not overpowering. Very solid pour, cheers!

Disappointed since Horst from whisky.com loved this. Tastes a little watered down and muted. I have to take large sips to really taste it, then I like it but it doesn't knock me out

Fantastic whisky. Lots of chocolate-covered cherries, a little oak, some oranges. 88-89 points.

Very nice flavor, especially for the price. The port flavors are nice, and not overpowering. Just the right after taste. One to keep on hand always.

Port is too strong for me. No other real notes, just tastes like bad port.
