Goslings Black Seal Rum

Nose is very subtle caramel and vanilla. Sweet on the tongue, but the bite is much more mellow than I expected. Oaky and cozy warm-feeling finish. Overall, unexpectedly enjoyable. Certainly more of a mix rum, but don’t rule it out for sipping.

Heavy caramel, nice flavor, strong kick.

Wonderful on the rocks. Strong, lingering aftertaste of butterscotch and heavy molasses. Good mouthfeel, and decent complexity. Great for the price point.

Great for mixing up the dark tones for a drink. No off setting flavors per say- no amazing desire to sip alone though. Just as it is billed in my experience. That in and of itself it a great thing- time for a Mai Tai.
