Reviewed August 9, 2019 (edited April 15, 2022)Was surprised how light the color was in the glass. Nose of hazelnut and caramel. First sip quite harsh but a bit of peat. Lingering taste of almonds. Adding a few drops of water mellowed it out. -

Reviewed July 30, 2019Hay color, very light, some smoke on the nose with green apple. Smooth on the palate, some smoke but not overwhelming at all. Fuller bodied for a Japanese whiskey, but not oily. More peat on the back end but still pleasant. Tiny burn that’s drying on the close. Nice pour. -
