Very smooth and easy siping with no bite at all. Smells lightly of orange and oak. Taste is a bit sweet, oaky, vanilla with a light spice. Medium finish.
I detect a higher corn mash compared to the standard Rendezvous? Nose is corn and citrus with some leather. Palette is sweet corn and vanilla with a splash of rye spice. Finish is straight oak smoke and some butterscotch, all of which vanishes quickly. Very good, sweet, smooth. Not as legendary as the standard Rendezvous though.

The reviews had me worried. But this was better than expected. Little steep on the price point for what you get. Slightly reminds me of a Thomas Handy Jr.
I enjoy the old Rendezvous Rye and the MWND. However the new Rendezvous Rye is so floral it almost tastes like a gin. It’s not bold or spicy at all. Somewhat disappointed in this new offering.
