Hochstadter's Slow & Low Rock & Rye (84 Proof)

So sweet with the rock candy, you should consider this a dessert. Not recommended right before bed, simply because it's so rich

From the VA ABC website: Honoring the nineteenth-century tradition, Hochstadter's Slow & Low Rock and Rye Whiskey is made with aged pot stilled rye whiskey, dried navel oranges orange and raw honey, stirred slow, over a low heat, to marry the robust flavors. It is American's original bottled cocktail. I usually drink my rye(all whiskey)neat, but this is one of my semi-regular “cocktails”.

Some have said it's like an old fashioned, I agree and disagree, it has hints of an old fashioned but it is more spicey and oily than a good WI hand muddled old fashioned. Still not a bad sippin drink on the rocks

Really like the hint of sweetness.
