Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish Single Malt

Nose: menthol and slight sourness at the forefront, but there is sweetness that comes after Taste: my reaction at first sip was, "This reminds me of Woodford Reserve!" Checking the product write up, it does state that it was aged in ameran oak barrels so that may be why. Spicy and herbal, but well balanced. Not getting much fruity notes. Finish is medium to medium long, and is where I get a gentle breeze of dried fruit. Quite pleasant.

this one is in my taste. sweet but not too much. just a little bit bitter at the end.

Unbalanced sweet, smoke, spice. Interesting but didn’t love it.
