Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish Single Malt

Very rich fruity flavors. A different expression from the Taiwanese distiller.

Sweet with a soft aftertaste that lingers well. Caramel/nut flavour. Good choice from Taiwan

dark, like a bourbon sweet, rich, tropical, cinnamon, red berries, quite sharp/alcoholic for being 43% slightly astringent, grapes, wood, dried apple skins, alcohol heat finish is bitter and short-ish

The port comes through in this one. Dark fruit, caramel, nutty and medicinal notes with a metallic finish. Didn’t love it, but a decent dram. A lot of flavors for a 80 proof.
