Koval Single Barrel Bourbon

Great “plain” whiskey. No spices or angles here, just great whiskey. Not smokey or overly sweet. Finishes with the taste of roasted corn.

There's a touch of petrol, it needs a little water to get past that. It doesn't seem to know what it is, bit Irish, bit American, almost bourbon wood. Interesting but compared to a similar Japanese, I wouldn't buy it again

To the nose I get notes of lemon, sweet corn, citrus, apples, & honey. To the palate I get citrus honey, vanilla, caramel

A bit of vanilla on the nose and a nice Char and ashy finish and pleasant burn. It has some sweetness but it quickly fade and dries up on the finish. This is my favorite bourbon for a high end cocktail. Gotta rep Chicago!!

Nose: banana, oats Palate: bananas foster, cream, salt, citrus Finish: short-moderate
