The peat is forward but doesn’t overwhelm the other notes of caramel and apple cider. Light chocolate on the nose leads to more on the first sip. More notes of fruit, leaning towards citrus. There’s a funky bready maltiness and a bit of a creamy texture, possibly from the Guinness barrels. It lacks heat, but has an abundance of flavor and a delightful complexity once you move thru the peat.
