Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Nose is smoky fresh cut wood with a bread note. Starts sweet with medium burn with smooth hot finish going down. A block of ice smooths it all out but still has a certain grainy flavor that makes it an Ok sipper for a very nice price.

As far as wheated bourbons go, this is fairly harsh and oaky vs smoother and sweeter. You get some of those elements, but it’s a peg down from others like WSR. I’d put it alongside Woodford/bulleit.

Soft and mellow up front while retaining some warming spice and heat on the back end. I get vanilla, cinnamon and oak amongst other flavors.
