New Riff 4 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Quite good. Complex and smoky. Tastes somewhat old. Spicey without any floral really

Got this as a sample from a friend. Nose: Cinnamon, with a touch of marshmallow, and astringent oak. Palate: Explosion of oak and vanilla extract, salty on my cheeks, and a long tongue tingling finish. Final impression: This particular bottle was 113.3 prf, and really didn't live up to the hype that I've heard it to be. It definitely has potential and I would buy it in the future, but hopefully end up with a better barrel.

Too strong corn whiskey flavor; not smooth.

A little harsh. Added an ice cube and it mellowed out nicely.
