What a fabulous whisky. Nose is astringent with caramelized sugar and then cherries coming through, a little deeper there is subtle oak and woody notes.
The pallet is spicy throughout with sweet notes popping in and out and again a little cherry on the finish with lingering spice.
Don’t let the packing fool you, this is whisky in a Chardonnay bottle. It’s fantastic for the $50’s range. An absolute cabinet whisky for me, bravo willet. A great whisky!
