Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon

Immediately taste caramel before the cinnamon and baking spice comes in. The cinnamon lingers for a while but not overpowering. Overall pretty good for the price. Smooth and not a lot of burn at 88 proof, easy sipper. First time putting my thoughts on paper so may revisit this one after I’ve tried a few more.

The nose is amazing. Caramel, vanilla, and a hint of banana bread. Palate is brown sugar, vanilla, and anise with a spicy finish. Considering I got the Elk pourer with it, it is worth it. Definitely looking forward to trying their other selections.
