Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon

This is a very unique bourbon in that it doesn’t really taste like a bourbon at all, given the high barley (and rye) content. It actually smells more like a rye, and tastes pretty peppery too with a distinct hit of cereal as well. Not sure it all precisely works perfectly together, but this is a perfectly fine, very drinkable bourbon.

light caramel in the nose. Sweet mostly with some vanilla flavor. A couple of drops of water bring a little fruity flavor.

Light, sweet and spicy at the same time. Caramel, vanilla, and oak.
