Fun to add to a blind tasting of entry level Irish, it's certainly not going to blow you away. Traditional notes, a bit boring. Best to keep for mixing than neat, although it certainly won't cause you to spit it out if you pull right from the bottle.
Nose: honey, shortbread cookie(s) and fruit.
Taste: cinnamon, pear and hints of vanilla.
Finish: mellow up front with vanilla and nutmeg this turns into a spice on the backend that finishes with lingering pear.
N: crisp fruits, honey, caramel toffee, butter cookie, cereal grains, simple and pleasant. T: cream, honey, toasted oats, buttery malt sweetness, a pleasant spice throughout and on the finish. Quite enjoyable for a blended and at the price point. I would get it again.
