Remus Repeal Reserve Series V (2021 Medley)

Warm and mild with a wonderful full mouthfeel with building heat, caramel, and spice that leaves baking spices on the tongue.

The nose presents a flora sweetness with only a slight whiff of ethanol. The first thing I notice upon sipping is the smoothness this has despite being high rye and moderate proof. It strikes a nice balance on sweetness, I think. I get notes of toffee, dark fruit, and baking spice. You can certainly tell this is a high rye blend, but it's fairly understated. This is a very nice, easy drinking bourbon. I'm looking forward to my next pour of this one, which will probably be in a few minutes.

Tried neat from the comfort of my home. On the nares I get sweetness with hints of vanilla, spice, oak, & slight cinnamon. On the palate I get vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, slight herbal notes, with a spicy and hot finish. For being 100 proof, I was expecting hotter to the palate but was surprised to find out it was just perfect. Great sipper that I’ll cherish!

MGP product. Lots of flavor. Dry notes of oak. Hits you hard at first. MGP high end product.
