Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond

Nice combination of spice, fruit and sweetness. I'm learning about Rye and like this one. BiB helps, on the rocks for me. Someone commented a while back, "The Dr. Pepper of rye whiskey" I would agree. I'll purchase again

Nose: Vanilla, cola, sawdust, chocolate Palate: Cinnamon, cherry, vanilla & hint of Carmel Finish: Red fruit & oak

Rich honey color. Nose has hints of cherry cola, cinnamon and freshly baked bread. Palate has charred cinnamon sticks, freshly ground nutmeg, toasted rye bread, dill, and hints of vanilla and spearmint. Light mouthfeel with a medium finish, with baking spices and toasted rye. Good bang for the buck, and a solid daily sipper.
