Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Rye

Much prefer their bourbon. Heavy rye taste.

Not much going on with the nose, bright and volatile with just a touch of oak. No rye notes to speak of. Lackluster.

Aroma: Decent. Oak, butterscotch, toffee, sweet vanilla, tobacco, leather, and pepper. Taste: Pepper is very noticeable and hot. Also taste Christmas spices. Other notes are present like in the aroma. Finish: Nice burning, lingering tobacco on the palette, also somewhat sweet.
