Well, I do love a good Gin and this is certainly one of them. I am a big fan of Tanqueray, and this one I enjoy even more than the standard.
Nose: strong citrus, juniper of course, a bit of an ethanol kick but it kind of works.
Taste: strong juniper, but citrus is definitely the main character. Quite dry, probably the grapefruit. Then some herbal notes and some hidden sweetness with a bit of a spicy character.
Finish: Still quite dry, gets a bit bitter, but not in a bad way, ends with this bittery spicyness.
Overall a really nice London Dry, love it in a Martini or G&T or a more citrus-forward drink like a Gimlet or Gin Rickey. Also quite nice for sipping and on the rocks, although sipping Gin seems somehow weird to me.
Extra points for the unique bottle. Great quality Gin, you can definitely get great Gins for less, but I think you do get what you pay for.
Would give this 71/100 (which is a lot in my ratings).
