Aroma: Honey, sugarcane, and light floral notes.
Flavor: The rum barrel aging lowers the whisky hit ("fingernail polish remover" as my wife would say) and adds a touch of sweetness that's not overpowering. A quick initial taste of apple. A dash of water brings out the hint of vanilla for me.
I like rum and drink a variety but I can't necessarily taste the "rum" here. However, I admit my taste bud population per square inch is on the lower end of the bell curve

Spicy/alcohol after-burn, especially if "savored" for too long. Tends to taste better after a few sips have gone down (due to numbed taste buds?).
Tasting based on neat sipping.
