It’s a beautiful light caramel color. The smell is very heavy on the vanilla side with just a hint of oak. On tasting, it starts smooth, warms up a little bit in the center of the tongue with some of the citrus coming through, then returns to a smooth vanilla finish. Upon adding a few drops of water the whiskey really opens up with some nuttiness coming through.
Really? I don’t understand the hype. It tastes rather medicinal to me compared to other bourbons. I just don’t get it and will not go out of my way to find this stuff.
