Just had Old Rip Van Winkle 10 yr which is also at 107 proof, so this will be a comparison:
Nose: standard wheated bourbon. Maybe a little hotter on the nose that. RVW10
Palate: basically the same as the RVW. Exactly what I expected, TBH. Smooth, oaky, wheated bourbon, but a bit hotter just because of the younger whiskey in 107. Drier than RVW
Finish: Sorry to be repetitive, but they are so close. I'd pay 20-30% more for the RVW, but if you get a chance at the 107 for a decent price, do it.
