On the eyes: dark amber/copper/red brass. Nice color if that means anything.
On the nose: light intro notes of honey giving way to darker notes of chocolate, leather, char and oak, slight hint of tobacco. Decently complex nose. I pick out new notes each time I sniff.
On the mouth: vanilla, caramel, honey, brown sugar. Bit of an alcohol bite - to be expected at this proof. Long and dry finish of oak and note of tobacco.
Would go nicely with a cigar. Smooth, heavy and rich. A little too much heat for an every day drinker but a solid bourbon nonetheless.
