Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon

Jury is still out for me. Honestly starts a little harsh, but has some nice lingering notes underneath. Better as it breathes, some apple and oak come out. Definitely herbal/floral and nuanced background, just not entirely sure how much I like the combination. Would not immediately call it a “balanced” whiskey.

Our local liquor store started doing what they call “Whiskey Days” where they feature a variety of different whiskeys. During one of these whiskey days i discovered Willet and their enchanting bottle design. When i got it back to my house i was delighted to discover the rich, smooth bourbon inside. The bourbon lacks the heavy burn of some of its cousins. The bourbon has notes of vanilla and carmel with sudden flavors of furit and apple wafting over as well. This has become the bourbon i give as a gift to my friends and will continue to hold in a high regard!
