Golden amber color.
Nose is jam packed with ripe fruit, oak, and barrel char: bing cherry, blackberry jam, cigar tobacco, charred oak and a hint of mint.
Woody and spicy front with some vanilla.
Super oaky but the corn definitely comes through.
This is a massive bourbon. Spices on the palate with a hot exit. Has a bit of a salty character before moving into the finish, which is sweet, with dark cacao powder notes and very old oak.
Sweetens up a bit and "slows down" with a splash of water.
This is an outstanding bourbon. Plenty of complexity and would go well in any bourbon cocktail (although I'd drink it all neat).
So grateful that this is widely available in Wisconsin at $53 a bottle
