In Balneário Piçarras, on the coast of the State of Santa Catarina, the still that produces Cachaça Casa Petro is located. From the juice carefully extracted from sugarcane, cachaça is born, which springs from the family vocation, which began in the 40s and spans generations, associated with the tradition of Santa Catarina. In 2018, Casa Petro Alambique was created by the union of the Petters and Romani Families. A modern still, with a beautiful structure, built with cutting-edge equipment. An Alembic created especially to welcome drink lovers, taking interaction from the production process to tasting. Cachaça Prata, also known as Cachaça Branca or Cachaça Tradicional, is a variety of cachaça that does not undergo the aging process in wooden barrels, which differentiates it from gold or yellow cachaça. Its main characteristic is transparency, maintaining a crystal clear color without any color change due to aging. Handcrafted Prata cachaça usually has unique characteristics. It can have a mild, sometimes sweet flavor, with herbaceous, floral or fruity notes, depending on the region of production, the variety of sugar cane and the fermentation and distillation methods used. As it is an unaged Cachaça, without passing through wood, Prata is often used in cocktails, such as caipirinha, due to its ability to prepare well with other ingredients, providing a clean and fresh base. Our Cachaça Prata Casa Petro won the SILVER medal in Brussels, Belgium in the SPIRITS SELECTION competition in 2021. Source: Casa Petro website.
