Really love the iodine and intensity of this whisky. Although only 40% it holds its own against its higher strength brothers such as the An Cuan. The finish and mouth feel isn't quite as long and satisfying against say a Lagavulin 16, but the rich intensity of the peat and flavour more than compensates. I have bought bottles of the An Cuan, PX, Quarter Cask, 15, 18 and the 10 and so far I rate this top Laph favorite along with An Cuan. Would love to see a higher abv though and it may pull ahead. Will look out for a 43% when I'm next in the USA :-)
