THIS is the one!!! When I had my first sip of this I had to belt out an old fashioned Ric Flair "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!". My my my my, ok, settling down. Everything I want in a whisky is in this glass. This is my home run. If I could only have one bottle, this is the one I'd drink from this moment on ad infinitum. The nose and palate are supreme. Not only does it have the elements you love from their Uigeadail bottling, it also has an awesome, juicy, fat and peppery filet mignon in there! An ocean full of salty goodness, and deep chocolate covered cherries. To me, it's the perfect balance of sweet meets savory. I cannot say enough good things about this dram. ETERNAL thanks for Dreaming of Islay exchanging some samples with me.

Nice review. I splurged on a bottle of the non-Committee version of this on and found it close to a carbon copy of the standard 10-year old. I couldn't see where there was enough difference to warrant the $110 price tag. It makes me think the Committee releases are where it's at.
Sounds like we're both attuned to this glass. If we could only convince Ardbeg it's worth making it a buying option. If it was sold at 51%, I think it would crush the Corryvreckan sales. I do like the Corry too, mind you. To me, you can never have too many good purchasing options. Look at Glendronach. Other than even the basic years, they have Maderia, Virgin Oak, Tawny and a ton of other choices too. The more the merrier!
Hey, really glad to hear you liked it! It is one of my favorites. I love the added "meaty" element in there. It's funny, I just wrote an extended Uigeadail breakdown on my site, and this was my comment: "Compared to the Dark Cove, I get less honey, fewer savory flavors (not as much meatiness), and less chocolate."
