Oak, honey, sherry sweetness and tannins. A good light scotch. For the price point it's definitely worth the extra $10-15 compared to Glenlivet or Glenfiddich. $75 in Ontario.

Thanks! Between the two I prefer Macallan Gold. If you want real bang for your buck though, my favourite light profile scotch so far is Glenrothes Select Reserve. It has significantly more richness and at $60 it’s $10-15 cheaper than either Macallan Gold or Glenmorangie Original.
What would you personally consider the better bang for buck value? Macallan Gold or Glenmorangie Original? The only reason why I'm asking is because I really respect your opinions!
