Sweet browned caramelized oak. It tastes exactly like what it is, an older Buffalo Trace. It’s gained some much needed body. For the price point I’d say it’s a solid offering, a little better quality than Elijah Craig Small Batch (but with much less oak), on par with the quality but less depth and character than Four Roses Single Barrel. $52 in Ontario.
