Pine and honey on the nose. Then, charred oak and spice, along with burnt marshmellow. Strong scents. Fantastic nose. The palate is a departure from the nose. More spice heavy, very minty. Barrel char, slight bitterness. It does seem smoother than the proof suggests, but the warmth is still there. Not as much caramel as the older 108.2 proof batch, and much more herbal. The herbal and spice notes linger, as does the warmth. 2/2/18
