Color: red in glass
Nose: dried lawnmower grass clippings, rye, orange rind, sugar.
Palate: smooth, young young oak, equal sugar substitute, unsweetened chocolate, earthy malt, dried apricot.
Finish: Dry, quick, young oak, dark fruit, vegetal.
My take: I could see this pairing well with a cigar This reminds me of when someone makes me a smoothly with some Funky unexpected vegetable in it. There’s a time and a place for this but I’m not sure how to articulate it?? Fresh Veggie bourbon time? and it might be better at cask strength.
If you’ve ever sipped the water out of an oak barrel that your sealing- it reminds me of that... Campbell’s vegetable soup?
