I don't really know about all these latest distiller changes. Looks different but doesn't really make things easier, in fact some things are now harder. Your reviews used to display at the top of ratings when you viewed them, now they don't. Also it doesn't display if you have already tasted something when you look at something. As a consequence you really can't find out if you've even rated it before easily at all. Luckily I have my google sheet tasting notes otherwise given all the Colonels out there I thought I might have put it against the wrong one or tasted a different variant. And you can't edit reviews. All quite confusing and unnecessary...all I want is half or quarter star ratings. Anyway rant over :-). I think I've drunken this at least 3 or 4 times now. A 3.5 and 3.75 are the ratings and the later is a fair score. It's richer and more vibrant than the Weller 12 but I prefer the former...it was plainer but more earthy and honest. This has a tiny bit of that sweet cherry thing going on I despise but still a nice quality drop 3.75 it is. Not worth the $120USD in my opinion.

@jakeh Four Roses Bourban would be the only one in that price range that is any good. Prices go up sharply from there for anything decent.
I got it on sale for 25 usd. A really good value for that price. What’s a cheaper option that bourbon for you to drink there in NZ?
@Slainte-Mhath It also means that if you neglect to add a rating at the time of posting you can't go back and add it to the review later. Hopefully the lack of an edit function is a glitch, and not intentionally part of the "taste" design concept. If it is it's a mis-step, mikael.
@cascode Jaasus. That is mad; its not worth a 1/3rd of that price IMHO. @cascode @Slainte-Mhath Yeah they've moved from a system where you can track items you've tried to a one off taste based function which means everything is fragmented. It means I'm less attached to keeping notes in it bar having my 2 cents worth. I'm glad I moved to my Google sheet notes list now.
Regarding the lastest Distiller changes: Where is the edit button for existing reviews? I can't find it and it kind of annoys me... @mikael Please fix this!
Hah! You ready for this? $320 a bottle in Australia. Lunacy. https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_870244/e-h-taylor-small-batch-bourbon-whiskey-750ml @BDanner & @Soba45 Apart from being able to specify local prices for a bottle there is nothing about the recent changes to format or functionality in Distiller that I like. Not being able to edit posts is very annoying, particularly given my phone's tendency to change words inappropriately.
Yeah, at $120 US, no thanks. Now, for the $40 or so I can typically find it for...much better!
@Rick_M Whaa thats crazy. Here its an ultra premium bourbon range. You can parallel import in NZ so usually if it's much cheaper overseas people can bypass official importers...not sure its not happening in this case @BDanner yeah i agree. Another thing is usually you could just review notes and now you have to scroll through masses of ratings without any reviews just to read one that has one.
I miss the ability to edit your review as well simply to fix typos, etc.
@soba - only $35 in US, but then again we don’t have roadside takeaway. :)
