First chance to try a Pappy. So they say the 12 isn’t really good enough to age any longer. I guess that just means I need to keep watching for the older ones! I‘m not sure this one lives up to the Pappy mystique but I really enjoyed it. Some sweetness and oak. I had this pour with one large ice cube; there was some initial burn but that disappeared once a bit of melting started. $38 for the pour was worth the experience once though!
