Spanish — Spain

The Orthodox Easter celebration continues for the third day and one uncle of mine pulled out a bottle of Spanish brandy. I think it was a new bottling, because the ABV was 40% and its label was different.
- The color is dark amber.
- On the nose I get vanilla and fruity notes.
- On the palate there are present vanilla notes alongside cocoa. It's very smooth.
- The finish is sweet and delicate.
It was written on the bottle that the brandy was aged in very old Sherry Pedro Ximenez barrels so I suppose it would be the equivalent of an XO cognac due to its smooth taste. It was a pleasant surprise.
