Safe to admit, I slept on this bourbon. I guess using all of the great shit I've had from Willett as a point of reference did some harm on this one. This is a well above average whiskey. Smoky and spicy, but will not stand to be characterized by just that. It's more than just it's looks, it has a personality, damnit! The nose: chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and cake batter. The palate offers some oak, vanilla and melted caramel. Not some shit that's about to be drizzled on a nice ass dessert plate, I'm talking melted Rolo's boiling in your car on a summer day. Still great nonetheless. Floral and caramel on a finish that can last.
Final Verdict: 7-7.5/10. This whiskey is worth being at the low-mid level price range. If you haven't, try it. This bottle will last for me and that's okay. Will I buy again? Probably not, but I'll enjoy while it's here.
