It's not bad, but really---save up a bit more and get the 18 yr old. The extra 6 yrs makes a world of difference her

I didn't find a single bottle of Yamazaki 25 while traveling Japan. It normally costs 250,00 Yen/bottle at Narita airport, but was sold out. Prices range between $4000-5000 on ebay. Accidentally, I saw a bottle in a local whisky bar and they seem to have no clue how valuable it is! Tasting session tomorrow! :-)
NICE!! that will be one to remember! I didn't know they make a 25. Probably depleted stocks now, will be at least another decade before they can put out another.
Btw, I am testing Yamazaki 25 tomorrow. Can't wait to taste that beauty...
Better wait some more years - you could probably buy a new car ;-)
Slainte: I know, you're so right! The Yamazaki 18 is $450 now!!! I can pay my monthly car lease for that price. Two years ago, I bought the 12 for $40 and 18 for $80. I loved the 18 so much that I went and bought 2 more the following week. Fortunately, I never got around to opening them...wondering now if I can barter with Toyota to accept two of my 18s in lieu of 3 months of lease. ;-)
If the 18 year old expression was still available... It costs a little fortune. I bought one bottle of Yamazaki 18 at the distillery, hidden under the counter. Very difficult to find, but worth the effort!
