Nose: interesting, complex and provocative. Oak, grass notes, saline and maritime. Reminds me of Arran 14 in a way as the oloroso Sherry shows up. Water opens it up and makes it more spirit driven and honey to show up.
Palate: more saline and peppery than the nose. Liquorice, grassy and citric with a nice round oily mouth feeling. Sherry notes come up front and then fade to give room to the more green notes.
Finish: long, peppery and with oak presence. Stays in mouth for a long while and grows.
Interesting dram for sure with a better nose than palate.
