During this past summer, I had been on a Gin kick and I tried a fair number of different styles and blends of gins. This is a solid easy-drinking gin that is nice but not quite good enough to break into my top 5 gins. The nose is smooth with a nice juniper start and some mild citrus early on and the citrus notes carry on through the sip. This mixes very well with everything I have made to date. My gin and Tonics are very good with this with the citrus notes show up in the drink. For Martinis, you have to use a good smooth dry or extra dry vermouth and be easy with it as this is only 80 proof and can get washed out easily. Overall, this is a good gin and it is better than many other gins on the market, but it is only 80 proof and the price is fair but there are several gins on the market that I like better for the same or lower price.
