Only very few times i have read about irish whiskies that cause a lot of hype in people. This one is the case. It seems to be that everybody loves this whiskey. So, i gave it a try. This is what i got:
Bottled at 40%abv, burnished gold color.
On the nose, it just feels like a speyside whisky. Red apples, pepper, honey, cookie dough and vanilla.
On the palate, tobacco, cinnamon, red pepper, red fruits and grain whiskey. It is very creamy and "grainy".
Aftertaste is medium long, with ginger, chilli and wasabi notes.
Actually a nice dram, but it doesn't live to the hype. 83/100.
