Just say no. For $20, you can do better.
There’s nice bourbon notes...somewhere, but it’s just buried under a mountain of acetone. I only tasted a sample bottle, but I couldn’t finish it. No more Beam for me. Save your $20, and buy a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 or Evan Williams Single Barrel. You’ll be glad you did.

about the best you can say for Black Label Beam is it's better than the watery White Label. Your point about the 101 and EW SiB is spot on.
@WhiskeyLonghorn Yep, some people just don't like some profiles and that's fine :)
@WhiskeyLonghorn Oh that's a shame, I think Knob Creek Single Barrel is one of the best buys in bourbon.
@ContemplativeFox @Zachary-Robbins I should be transparent and say that after several years of trying different Beam products (Beam, Knob, Basil, OGD, Bookers) I just really find myself not liking their distillery profile. The funky peanut note I get just really doesn’t do it for me.
@Zachary-Robbins Interesting note. I haven't found that, but I've only ever bought maybe 2 airplane bottles. I definitely haven't noticed acetone in this before, but I can see why its flavor might be off-putting.
@Swahili1 Brilliant! Everyone always talks about organic vs heritage turkey for Thanksgiving, but they all miss the option of Wild Turkey!
Hmm, I think it's actually pretty good for the price. However, I've had some poor airplane bottles in the last couple years that makes me believe I should avoid them. Crown Royal, Bulleit, Jim Beam, and Jack Daniel's all with an astringent chemical quality.
you sir, are a gentleman, and a scholar. without Turkey......their would be no Thanksgiving🤣🤣🤣
@Swahili1 love me some 101! My favorite budget bourbon!
dont be hating on the 101🤣🤣🤣
100 agree... throw EW BiB into that mix too! great review
