Had the Mantuano which was very good. This is better. Similar tasting notes but more body, depth and richness. This is a sweet one so if you like your rum dry steer clear. Otherwise enjoy the sugared barrel notes that linger after the silky smooth sweet palate has glided down with just a touch of heat. This is a winner but falls short of the complexity of El Dorado 12/15. Certainly good enough neat but I did put Diplimatico in some limeade and it was fabulous. The heavy sweets balancing the sour lime citrus.....86/100 rum score

@Benji-Robert I didn't quite have all of the ingredients together, but I improvised a bit with Corry and a couple other changes and it was really good! The Disarro really pulls it together. Looking forward to trying the real version :)
@Benji-Robert Thanks! I'd better get Lap10 back in stock. In the meantime, I have Ardbeg and Amrut peated, which I think should be reasonable substitutes :)
@ContemplativeFox 2 parts disaro 3 parts FRESH SQUEEZED lemon juice* stir in glass or shake pouring over fresh ice thimble of lap10 floated on top at very end limeade, sour mix, or honey syrup (1:1 honey:water) make it nicer and much more approachable with the sweetness. I've started to like it without anything extra so you can skip it. *it just wont taste the same if you didnt juice the lemon when you make it ulcers and colons be warned: it's a very acidic and sugary drink. delicious, but maybe just have one.
@Benji-Robert That sounds interesting! I might have to give it a try before summer ends.
as a big limeade fan this is gonna be the review that tips me to finally cross this of the " to try" list. I made a disaronno drink with fresh lemon juice+limeade that got a Islay scotch floater the other week and it blew me away;best drink I ever came up* with *to be fairs it's a godfather variant with penicillin trappings
