I find this to be a good drink. I wouldn’t go out of my way to hunt it down, but I’ll snatch it up if I see it in the $30-35 price range. It’d be a great bottle to serve to guest even if they’re not big whiskey drinkers. This is very good - a cut above.

@WhiskeyLonghorn I apperciate old forester but this guy wants older bourbon if available for cheap, and eagle rare is just that. Reasonably aged bourbon!

A man can't live off of turkey products alone. I'm in at 40 for a bottle or two a year. I love eagle rare, especially once the bottle has been open for a few months.
A good intro bourbon for sure. Worth $30 and maybe $35, but above that and I'd personally pick up either Russell's 10 or Wild Turkey Rare Breed instead.
