Everything you need to know about the Distiller app

January 1, 2024

Welcome to the Distiller app, the world’s largest (and best!) app for people who love whiskey, rum, tequila and a variety of other distilled spirits. There’s so much you can do with the app, so let’s look at a few of the most important things.

Search for spirits

You can search the Distiller database of over 50,000 unique spirits to find what you’re looking for. The database grows every day, and on each spirit page you’ll find tasting notes, scores, reviews from the community and flavor profiles. It’s a great way to find out what’s in the bottle before you spend a cent.

Search for Spirits

View spirit pages

After you search for a spirit you’ll see a long list of results. You can tap any result and you’ll see a full page for that spirit including its image, name, scores, flavors, and all the information you need to know. If our experts have reviewed it, you’ll see a full flavor graph that tells you what it will taste like.

Write your own tasting notes

If you want to keep track of what you’ve tried, you can write your own tasting notes for any spirit in the system! When you’re on a spirit page, tap the big “+Add Review” button at the bottom of the page to start your own review. You’ll be able to set your own star rating, add flavor tags, write tasting notes, tag a location, record how much you paid, and even which currency you paid in. You can find all of your reviews on your profile at any time.
