Web Development Engineer

Full Time - Seattle, WA

Job Description Distiller is seeking a full-time Web Development Engineer to contribute to major development efforts across a variety of platforms. As a developer you believe in a lightweight, iterative, and behavior-driven development approach. Ideally, you thrive working in a small but growing startup environment! As our web engineer, you must be ready and willing to contribute to all areas and stages of our software development process. You will be working alongside other talented engineers, as well as communicating ideas and progress with leadership and stakeholders. For you, no job is too big or too small. Skills & Requirements The ideal candidate is able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment. They are able to quickly switch gears and responsibilities in a position where more than one project may require participation at a given time. They also have a good eye for design and user interfaces. Specifically, they must have: - 3+ years of experience in professional software development - at least one year of production experience in Rails or Angular - the ability to learn quickly and adapt to various technologies and languages Familiarity with some (or most) of the following technologies - Xamarin or Ionic - C# or C++ - Heroku, Azure, or other PaaS/IaaS - PostgreSQL, MySQL - Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Nice to Have - Some DevOps experience - A love of spirits APPLY FOR THIS JOB

Engineering Intern

Part Time - Seattle, WA

Job Description Distiller is looking for spirits loving engineering interns to assist our Sr. Director of Engineering with development work, bugs, and development of the Distiller web and mobile products. You will gain hands on experience, and you will work on an award-winning product that teaches people about spirits. In office tastings and visits from brands are common, so if you love spirits and code, this is the best internship on earth! We will work with you to find ideal days for you to come work. We can also work with your school or internship program to provide credit if needed. This is a part time position. Skills & Requirements Working knowledge of: - Ruby (some RAILS experience preferred ) - Javascript MVC’s - Maintaining a hosted web service Familiarity with some of the following specific technologies: - Relational dbs (Postgresql preferred) - coffeescript (both in-browser and server-side with node.js) - spinejs or another javascript MVC - Unit testing frameworks (rspec, jasmine) Additional Ideal Skills: - Familiarity with iOS / Objective-C and Android / Java a plus - Interest and some knowledge of craft spirits APPLY FOR THIS JOB

Spirits Loving Intern

Internship/Part Time - Seattle, WA

Job Description Distiller is looking to hire a part time intern to handle everything from helping to sort spirits samples, process review requests, answer support tickets, create new product listings in Distiller, help run fan giveaways and contests, and everything in between.
