I am a huge Jim Beam fan and love almost everything they do. This offering is great if you compare it to other Beam products but when compared to other "double oaked" offerings like Woodford, it falls a little short on the flavor side. For the price though, it is a good second choice if you don';t wanna drop $60 on Woodford doubled oak.

I first got a bottle of Laphroaig about 2 or 3 years ago when they had their campaign "Opinions Welcome" going. I loved that they had people who loved it and people who hated it. I thought to myself that I had to try this scotch that had everyone divided. I will admit other than some Johnny Walker here and there I had never really gotten into Scotch. This instantly became my favorite Scotch. I LOVE the peaty flavor and because of this bottle became a huge Islay Scotch fan. The peatier the better! But this bottle isn't for everyone!
