Macallan Select Oak
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 26, 2015 (edited August 11, 2016)On the nose, fruity, citric, sweet and something floral in the background. Notes of apple, lemon and fresh grass are present. On the taste, light, with a little bit of spices and honey, with a medium to long finish, with notes of caramel and nuts. The perfect whisky to go with a good chocolate -
Chivas Regal Strathisla 12 Year Distillery Collection
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 26, 2015 (edited December 1, 2022)A lot of red fruit on the nose together with honey. Spice on the taste, again with a lot of fruits. Medium body, easy to drink, with a medium simple finish, but too sweet. Nothing complex about this whisky, but also not bad. The connection with Chivas is clear -
Highland Park 12 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed August 20, 2015 (edited October 12, 2015)On the nose, sweet with a very light smoke in the background, with citrus notes, very elegant. The taste is ok, a little bit light body to my taste, with a medium simple finish. A very easy whisky to drink, clear on its proposition, a very good everyday whisky
