Grangestone Highland Single Malt Bourbon Cask Finish
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 6, 2020 (edited November 8, 2024)Mostly inoffensive nose, with just barely a hint of corn like the Glen Ness but almost unnoticeable. Forward taste is good, but with a sharp almost fiery but short aftertaste. -
Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 6, 2020 (edited August 11, 2020)Less alcohol burn than the Dewar’s, but a similarly unremarkable bouquet with the exception of something of a noticeable “after-scent”. Definitely more of a sharp, almost fiery profile at first, which continues to linger long after the sip
